Connect and control Trakt
Choose what syncs and which service wins when watch positions disagree.
Options depend on your plan, profile, installed build and provider. Understand access. Screenshots use fictional demonstration data; a preview layout can differ slightly from a public build.
#Connect by device code
Open Settings → Services & connections → Trakt.
- Choose the login/connect action to get a device code and QR.
- Open the displayed verification URL on your phone and sign in to Trakt.
- Approve the requested connection before the device code expires.
- Return to the TV and check Connected as shows the intended account.
Use Trakt’s own sign-in page. Do not enter a Trakt password into a playlist field.
#Choose sync options
Watched history imports watched marks. Scrobble playback reports your playback to Trakt. Continue Watching pulls paused items into Home. Trakt Watchlist adds your watchlist titles. The heavier imports can take time on a large account; enable only what you need.
#Choose the Continue Watching source
M3ufy cloud only stops pulling new Trakt positions; already merged entries remain until watched again or cleared. Trakt wins treats Trakt positions as authoritative even if the app’s position is newer. Both (newest wins) merges and keeps the more recent position. Choose deliberately if you watch on several players.
#Rows and disconnecting
Connected Trakt catalogue rows can be enabled/ordered in Home settings. Disconnect ends the connection; it is not a promise that previously imported local entries vanish. Clear Continue Watching is a separate destructive action affecting device and cloud progress.
