Account, activation and device linking
Know what belongs to an account, a device or a playlist.
Options depend on your plan, profile, installed build and provider. Understand access. Screenshots use fictional demonstration data; a preview layout can differ slightly from a public build.
#Three separate identities
Your M3ufy email account manages linked devices and synced data. A device activation controls access on a particular installation/device. Your IPTV provider login controls that provider’s streams. Changing one does not automatically change the other two.
#Activate and check access
Use the official website’s My Account/activation flow and the plan shown there. Check Settings → Account & app → About for the current subscription and device key. Do not share the device security key. Follow the official checkout for pricing and payment status; paying an IPTV provider does not activate M3ufy Premium.
#Move the same TV to another email
Use the website’s My Devices while signed into the old account.
- Choose Unlink account for the correct TV.
- If the device occupies a five-device Premium slot, release that slot first as instructed.
- Sign out of the website and sign into the intended new email account.
- Use Add a device with the same TV’s MAC address and Device Key.
Unlinking does not factory-reset the TV, restart its trial or move its activation to another physical TV. If you cannot access the old account, ask support for an ownership check. Do not clear app data to solve an ownership conflict.
#Protect recovery
Keep source credentials securely and link the correct account before relying on cloud sync. Successfully synced information may be recoverable; local-only files or unsynced settings may not. Never promise recovery by reinstalling the app. Contact support before resetting a device that still has useful data.
