Search and Discover

Find your own sources or explore public titles, genres and studios.

Actual app screen · fictional demonstration content, not included with M3ufy. Layout may vary by version and device.
Before you start

Options depend on your plan, profile, installed build and provider. Understand access. Screenshots use fictional demonstration data; a preview layout can differ slightly from a public build.

#Search your library

Use the centred Search / Discover switch to choose Search.

  1. Open Search, select the text field and enter part of a title or channel name.
  2. Submit with the keyboard’s Search/Enter action and move to the results.
  3. Use the content-type filters offered to narrow channels, movies or series.
  4. Open a result and select the source or episode you actually want.
Keep in mind

Search operates on available imported sources. A playlist that has not finished importing cannot return all its content yet.

#Discover before typing

Discover is for exploration: general titles can appear even when your playlists do not contain them. Choose movies or series, then a genre, studio/service filter or available ordering such as popular, newest or highly rated.

  1. Switch to Discover at the top.
  2. Use the compact category/filter controls to choose the content type and a genre or studio.
  3. Browse posters and inspect a title’s details.
  4. Open the title to search your available sources, then choose one if found.
Keep in mind

Netflix, HBO or another catalogue filter describes metadata/discovery. It does not provide that service’s subscription, credentials, streams or official affiliation.

#If no source is found

Check your imported playlists, spelling, alternate title and season. A discovery title can have no match in any source you own. Refresh only if your provider has actually added it; repeatedly opening it does not create a stream.
